About Orana Dynamics and Belgium.
Orana Dynamics is a Belgian company, based in Bertem, a town between Brussels and Leuven, centrally located in the country. Brussels is the capital of the small country with a big population of 11 million. Bertem is a town in the Flemish part of Belgium. Belgian companies have a tradition of bringing high quality products, and building trustworthy relationships with customers. The country has very known, strong athletes who are active (or have been) in different sports. Think of Tom Boonen and Eddy Merckx in cycling, Kim Clijsters and Justin Henin (tennis), Kim Gevaert (Athletics), Michel Preud’homme (soccer), Bart Swings (Inline skating and long track ice skating) and many more.
About us
Kevin Van Lancker, founder of Orana Dynamics, started on Fisher Price (TM) roller skates, made the step to competition inline skating at the age of 7 and made it to the Belgian national team inline speed skating at the age of 16 for several years, attending the European and World Championships inline speed skating. In preparation for these competitions at the highest level, Kevin practised a lot on skates, on the bike or running. As such, he got a very good idea of how a product should be to be as functional as possible. Together with product engineers and athletes he decided to come up with a new brand, called Orana Dynamics.
Our activities
Over the years, our activities have changed from importing and distributing sports products, made by Australian, Italian and American suppliers, to producing our own line of apparel. As such, we have the full production line under our control and are not dependent on others.
While still a young company, we contracted a few specialists in the field who are working closely together with athletes from different sports, in order to bring even better products in the future. One of the examples is our recent signed agreements with the Grossbettlingen Racing Team (skating), German national team (skating) and the national team of the United Arab Emirates (Cycling). These days, too many companies focus on making margin, and do not bother any longer about the quality of the product. Marketing is everything these days. In these economic unsure times, companies are under pressure to design and bring products to market before their competition. Marketing messages are spread, in the hope to create immediate impact to drive demand. As a result, many athletes today are very unsatisfied with the available products. This is where we want to make a change. This is why we have chosen for a new approach and start developing products in collaboration with athletes.
We find it very important to have personal contact with the customer. We want to be different from the others. We want to understand your needs so we can make the best product for you. You will not have just an emailaddress but you can meet and have a chat with us at the different events that we attend throughout the year, or we can travel to your practice or event to discuss how our products can be of benefit for your team, bearing in my mind we are going to offer you a normal –priced (in some cases even cheap) products, but in no way, we will sacrifice on quality of the products.
